Holi Welcome Letter

Dear Friends,

On behalf of the UPAD Board, Executive Committee and Executive Members, we would like to wish you and your family a very happy Holi.

We are really excited to lead this wonderful organization in its 16th year of existence. Your support and assistance will help our organization grow and become better by promoting camaraderie, communal harmony, and Indian culture and values amongst all the people of Indian origin in Michigan.

We have planned an exciting year for you starting with today's function to celebrate Holi. The Holi is the 2nd event of the year after a very successful  Valentine's party on February 19, 2010. The Kavi Samellan will be held on May 9th, the Adult Cruise will be in July, the Picnic is on August 22nd and Diwali in November. We are pleased to inform you that Board and Executive Committee has been engaged in reviewing the organization's Vision, Mission, Purpose and Action plan, keeping in mind the changing needs of our members. The team is working diligently for it. We will soon share with you our long term strategy and plan in more detail. We also want to mention that organization is supporting and will work closely with two non profit organizations SEVA and ASHA for our continuing effort to reach out to community.

Uttar Pradesh Association of Detroit is really grateful to our children and their parents, who have contributed their time and effort to make this program successful. Our goal has always been to encourage our young talents to perform on stage and volunteer their time for UPAD. We strongly believe in saying that every child has an enormous potential.

We respectfully thank our members, community volunteers, distinguished guests, advertisers, and sponsors for their active participation and support.

Additionally, we would like to sincerely thank all the committee members for their continued support in making this event a success.
